Version 5.0 introduces a powerful, fully integrated Advanced Backtest Simulation engine. You no longer need to manually download, format, and upload CSV files from Binance. The bot now fetches historical data directly from the exchange API and simulates your exact strategy–including real-world exchange fees–in real-time.
Step 1 – Configure Your Strategy
- Open the Prime Spot DCA Bot GUI and select the trading pair you want to test from the left sidebar.
- Adjust your settings in the Detailed Configuration panel (Timeframe, Indicators, TP/SL, and Safety Orders).
- Note: The backtest engine pulls the exact parameters currently active in your configuration form. You do not need to click "Save" if you are just testing variations.
Step 2 – Launch the Backtest Module
- Click the 📊 BACKTEST button located in the action bar below the configuration form.
- The Advanced Backtest Simulation window will open for your selected pair.
Step 3 – Set Simulation Parameters
In the Backtest window, define your simulation environment:
- From date & To date: Select the historical period you want to test using the calendar selectors.
- Simulated Capital (USDT): Set your starting base capital. The simulation engine will use this to calculate precise order sizes, DCA scaling, and minimum notional limits.
Step 4 – Run the Simulation
- Click the ▶ LOAD DATA & START BACKTEST button.
- The bot will automatically connect to the Binance API, fetch the required candlestick (OHLCV) data for your chosen timeframe, and process the simulation chronologically.
- Smart Caching: The downloaded market data is temporarily cached in memory. If you re-run a test on the same pair and date range (e.g., to tweak RSI or TP percentages), the data will load instantly without requiring another API download.
Step 5 – Review the Results
The built-in console will display a detailed, step-by-step log of the entire simulation:
- Trade Execution: View every Base Order and DCA Safety Order fill, including timestamps, triggered indicators, and precise average prices.
- Fee Calculation: The engine automatically deducts a standard 0.1% exchange trading fee from every buy and sell order to ensure your Profit & Loss (P/L) is realistic.
- Final Report: At the bottom of the log, the bot generates a summary report detailing your Total Net Profit (USDT), Total Trading Cycles, Win Rate (%), and Total Filled Orders.
Troubleshooting Tip: If the backtest report shows 0 trades, verify your indicator settings. Strict combinations (e.g., extremely low RSI thresholds combined with Bollinger Bands) may not trigger any buy signals during the selected date range.
