This page focuses on strategy decisions, not on internal execution logic.
If you are looking for how the bot places orders or manages positions internally,
please refer to How the Bot Works.
1. Strategy Mindset
- Strategies define when to trade, not how the bot executes trades. The bot handles the emotionless execution for you.
- Safer strategies trade less frequently. Silence is often a sign of safety.
- More aggressive strategies trade more often but accept higher noise.
๐ Multi-Strategy Support (v5 Feature): Because the bot supports Independent Per-Pair Configuration, you don't have to choose just one style. You can run a conservative strategy on Bitcoin and an aggressive scalping strategy on a volatile altcoin at the exact same time.
2. Indicator Selection (Strategic View)
- Single indicator: Higher trade frequency, lower filtering.
- Two indicators: Better confirmation, fewer trades.
Using more indicators mainly improves signal quality. It does not guarantee higher profit, but rather protects your capital from bad entries.
3. Indicator Usage by Market Condition
๐ Uptrend
- MA, MACD for trend alignment.
- Trailing or Dynamic Take Profit to ride the wave.
โก๏ธ Sideways
- RSI, Bollinger Bands for mean reversion (buying the bottom of the range).
- Smaller Static Take Profit to lock in quick bounces.
๐ Downtrend
- Selective RSI oversold entries only.
- Small profit targets, defensive DCA sizing, or simply stay out.
4. Interval as a Strategic Lever
- Short intervals (1m - 15m) favor small, frequent profits.
- Long intervals (1h - 4h) aim for fewer but larger, more reliable price moves.
Take Profit and Safety Order spacing should always scale with the selected interval.
5. Take Profit Strategy
- Static TP: Fixed percentage exits. Setting TP1 = 100% acts as a simple, single-level TP.
- Dynamic TP: Volatility-adjusted exits using the ATR indicator.
- Trailing TP: Designed for strong trends, capturing the peak before a pullback.
6. Safety Orders (DCA)
- Safety Orders effectively reduce your average entry price during a dip.
- More Safety Orders exponentially increase capital usage.
- Adjustments to settings while holding a position affect future orders only.
7. Built-in Strategy Templates (v5)
If you are unsure where to start, Version 5 includes 5 pre-configured One-Click Strategy Templates directly inside the GUI. You just select the template, and the bot configures everything for you:
- Ultra Safe (Beginner): RSI only, small TP, strict Stop Loss.
- Balanced (Intermediate): RSI + MACD confirmation, multi-level TP.
- Automatic Accumulation: 1-hour interval, deep DCA levels for long-term holding.
- Quick Scalping: 5-minute chart with Trailing Stop for aggressive traders.
- Deep Dip Hunter: 4-hour chart waiting for major market crashes to buy heavily.
This page is a high-level overview. For the exact parameters used in the templates and manual adjustment guidelines, see the Advanced Strategies Guide.
